FOR AMPLIFIERS WITH VERY LOW
POWER
(THE DECWARE ZEN, FOR EXAMPLE)
The model 2 is simply a pair of Horns built with a common center panel.
They
sound exactly like The Horns except they are at least 3db more
efficient
(>97). The Model 2 can be wired easily for 4 or 16 ohms by
the
owner with a simple jumper wire. Of course a "risky scheme" like it can
not possibly work.....sorry, it does. Very well. $1600/pair plus
shipping.
And of course, as always, if you are not happy, then neither am
I........you
simply can not keep them. I am well aware that there should be all
sorts
of problems associated with this design.......again, sorry, they simply
work and are a very easy load for any amplifier. The Model 2 is very
well
suited to the lowest output power amplifiers (45's come
to
mind). Please call with any questions you might have. And yes, I tried
vertically
mounting the drivers with vertical horns, and no, it did not sound
good, at least to me.
